The way you use social media for your business is exceedingly important, as nearly 50% of the world’s population is on social media which is over 3 billion users. By using social media in the right way can give you outstanding results, as you can connect and engage with an insane amount of people and businesses, and also you can use it for its other features such as finding out information or other businesses such as your competitors.

On average a person can spend up to 2.36 hours a day on social media platforms. Within that time this person would have seen multiple mixed content and would have an impression within seconds of a brand, service, or product.

So, what can you do to make sure that the impression you give to people for you and your business is the best impression?

1. Consistency with regular posting and replying to messages. Being active regularly on social media means you can keep up with everything that is going on around you and in front of you, lack of posting and delayed replies could give a bad impression. Using social media gives you the opportunity to communicate and allows you to build relationships which you should always use to full advantage.

2. Ensuring everything is thought through, such as time of posting, giving you the highest visibility with the content you are posting. This will create a great business image with a good target audience so you can post content directed to them.

3. Making the right choice of social media platform for your business. The best way to decide which platform is best for you is to judge based on what you’re trying to sell, for example; if you are selling a service targeting B2B then LinkedIn will be one of the best options. If your business is selling products, then Facebook would probably be the best option.
The benefits are endless when you just take some time out of your week to make an eye-catching post/content, and if this sounds like something you can’t or don’t want to do there are also ways around that such as virtual PA’s and social media handling.
